AIS Access

Advisers follow a three-step process to obtain AIS access:

1. Fill out and submit account forms to ITS.
2. Sign up for mandatory Intro to AIS and Understanding Academic Advisement training.
3. Read our Policy on Privacy of Student Records and take the FERPA Quiz.

Training

Intro to AIS and Understanding Academic Advisement are mandatory trainings for advisers. Other offerings include the Degree Progress Report Workshop, Advising Open Lab, Graduation Checklists, and Advanced (Super User) training. To learn more and sign up, visit the AIS Training page.

AIS Reporting: Cognos

System Requirements

To obtain view access to reports and cubes in Cognos UpFront, attend the Intro to AIS Reporting class. You will receive your User ID and password shortly thereafter. Once you've taken the Intro class, PC users can also become report writers using Cognos Impromptu by completing the Report Writers Seminar.

To request a report, email a completed AIS Report Modification and Request Form to ais-reports-help@ucsc.edu.
