Audio-visual equipment is available for checkout by current UCSC students, faculty and staff from the ITS/Learning technologies checkout facility.

Reserve equipment by calling 459-2117.

UCSC ID (with a current quarter sticker for students) is required to check out equipment.

There is no charge for equipment used in support of current UCSC academic classes.

Students must be authorized by their instructor prior to equipment checkout for class use. Faculty can email a class list of students authorized to use equipment to the Learning Technologies Front Desk Coordinator at media@ucsc.edu. Please include course number and instructor’s name. Individual students can Download Media Equipment Faculty Authorization Form (PDF) , have their instructor sign it, and submit it to Learning Technologies.

There is a cost recovery fee for all other equipment use. See the Media Equipment rate sheet for details. This includes use for special events, non-academic classes (any class that does not have UCSC course number) and any other projects. Payment may be made by campus recharge, personal check or cash (exact change only).

To arrange media equipment usage for a SOAR Organization Event you must contact Learning Technologies two weeks in advance of your event.
