The ITS Emergency Employee Accounting Process (EEAP) was developed to provide a standard procedure for accounting for employees’ safety status and return to work status after any campus or regional disaster.
The two accounting processes below will explain how you will be accounted for in the event of an emergency.
ON CAMPUS EMERGENCY ACCOUNTING PROCESS
1) Employees in buildings with large ITS populations:
- Evacuate building
- Report to designated assembly area or duress room as instructed
- Check in with the building's ITS unit coordinator
- Occupants will only be allowed to return when the building is declared safe by emergency responders
2) Employees in buildings with single ITS populations:
- Evacuate building
- Report to designated assembly area or duress room as instructed
- Check in with the building's coordinator
- Call supervisor or manager to report status
- If supervisor or manager can not be reached, provide status via ITS help line or ITS DOC email:

- Include this information in your notice:
- Name
- Manager's Name
- Phone number where you can be reached
- Status

3) ITS Supervisor/Manager
- Know your employees' work status for the day i.e.,sick, on leave/vacation
4) ITS Unit Coordinator
- Take roll call of employees in their unit as well as any guests on site
- Work with managers to determine if any missing people are still in the building
- If anyone is missing, contact emergency personnel
- Report unit's accounting summary to the building monitor
5) ITS Building Monitor
- Obtain status of all ITS staff in their building
- Report information to ITS Logistics Section Chief
RETURN TO WORK STATUS PROCESS
1) Employee verbally contacts manager and reports status and their expected return to work date.
If employee is unable to contact their supervisor / manager, go to number 2.
