Core Technologies Inactive/Closed Projects Data Center Print Move - The current printing implementation in the Data Center is not viable and must be moved out. With the recent evaluation of Data Center Services, ITS Operations has the opportunity to rectify this problem by identifying/analyzing several options, and obtaining a decision from the ITS Senior Management Team to implement a solution that will meet the needs of the campus. Data Center Monitoring - The UC Santa Cruz ITS Data Center's primary objective is to support 7 days a week 24 hours a day operations while simultaneously minimizing business risks from service disruptions.

Patch Management is a process by which systems in the network are secured by remotely managing, applying and maintaining critical patches and updates.
Initially, we intend to focus on creating an automated Patch Management System for Windows O/S (WinTel) servers located within the ITS Data Center.
Simultaneously, we will be partnering with interested Windows Server Administrators from around the campus in the development and documentation
automated methodologies for WinTel server patch management.
