The Faculty Instructional Technology Center (FITC) is the contact for instructors interested in learning more about eCommons. We conduct a variety workshops and tutorials in addition to handling instructors' service requests. We offer consulting and answer questions regarding how best to use eCommons in your teaching and learning activities. eCommons Workshops
Using eCommons
Users must have a valid UCSC CruzID and CruzID Gold password to access eCommons. Access is currently provided for instructors, graduate and undergraduate students. Staff access is given to those who support instruction or academic programs on an as needed basis. Users must have internet access using compatible browsers, plug-ins and settings. The URL address is ecommons.ucsc.edu. Current supported operating systems and browsers are:
Windows
- Internet Explorer 7.0 and newer
- Mozilla Firefox 2.0 and newer
- Mozilla Firefox 2.0 and newer
- Mozilla Firefox 2.0 and newer
Note: You may get unexpected results if you use two browser windows to access the same eCommons tool at the same time. For best results, use one browser window to work in eCommons.
