Mac Snow Leopard & Windows 7 Support

Information about ITS support for the latest operating systems: Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard and Windows 7.

Snow Leopard

ITS, in collaboration with members of the UCSC community, has been evaluating and testing Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard since its release in August. Though we currently suggest that Mac users continue to use OS X 10.5.x - Leopard - until all testing is complete, we understand the need for early support as Apple now ships Snow Leopard on all new Macs. To meet that need, ITS began offering support for Snow Leopard on November 4, 2009.

Windows 7

Windows 7 went on sale to the public two weeks ago, but please don't upgrade your computer just yet. Testing is underway, and ITS will begin offering support on February 1, 2010. We recommend that you wait to upgrade until testing is complete and we begin offering support. More information will be forthcoming at: Windows 7 Information
