Sakai Implementation Project

The objective of the Sakai Implementation Project is to gather requirements, create a charter and statement of work to engage with a vendor partner to enable having a production-ready Sakai CLE system by Winter 2010 to be widely deployed by Fall 2010. This system will integrate with the Academic Information System (AIS), and the Identity Management System (IdM) for user authentication.

When a Sakai instance is implemented, the decommission and migration of existing LMS (WebCT) services will commence as its own project. The program goal is to transition away from WebCT completely by Fall 2010 or sooner. Analysis and planning is underway to create a viable training and support structure to ensure faculty and student success in the new environment.

Questions regarding the Sakai Implementation Project or other areas of the program may be submitted via the ITS Feedback form, top of page.
