ComCast Cable TV Information

UC Santa Cruz has partnered with ComCast Cable to provide basic cable TV service for on-campus students. Basic Cable TV service is available in each room and comes with your housing package.  Preimum channels, such as HBO and Showtime, are not a part of the basic cable package that is provided to residential students.

Important ComCast Cable Update - May 10th

ComCast Cable has installed several converter boxes on the campus to allow viewing of all channels in the cable lineup for campus residents.  If you live on campus and are unable to view the full channel lineup, please have your televison rescan for all available channels.    

Residents at the University Town Center are currently receiving a subset of the full channel lineup.  Campus Housing is in active discussions with ComCast to regain the full channel lineup for this location.   More information for these residents will be provided as soon as talks are finalized with Comcast.

Cable TV is ready to be used in your room, all you need is:

  • A TV (a digital-TV converter box is not necessary on campus).
  • A coax cable
