October was National Cyber Security Awareness Month!! (October 2008)

The goal of National Cyber Security Awareness Month is to raise awareness about the many technology-related threats we face each day, and to learn how we can better protect our computers, our information and ourselves.

Many cyber security threats are largely avoidable. Information Technology Services' (ITS') “Top 10 List of Good Computing Practices” offers practical tips and pointers for safer computing. Please also keep an eye out for the following:

"Introduction to Computer Security" class held April 28, 2008

Every day, hackers come up with new and creative ways to break into computers or obtain private information. We hear in the news about employees unintentionally putting private information at risk. This fun, informative, non-technical class will cover simple, practical ways to help you keep your computer and data safe and secure.
