New Catalog Home Page
The service catalog home page has been reorganized for easier access. The service list displays categories that slide open to reveal service page links. This is done with JavaScript that degrades cleanly for users with JavaScript disabled. The top ten catalog pages have their own links in a "Quicklinks" box.
Local Services
There are now links to Divisional service catalogs available on the Catalog home page.
Service Organization
The structure of the service catalog has been based on the current service categories. In order to provide flexibility in future changes, the directory structure of the catalog will no longer be tied to a particular category. Each service now has its own folder in the catalog. Using CruzMail as an example:

New URL: http://its.ucsc.edu/service_catalog/cruzmail/
Existing Service Changes
Some services have been consolidated or renamed. Examples:
Telephone-related services have been grouped into a single "Telephone Service"
Some network services have been grouped into "Campus Wired Network"
Newsgroups is now in "Email, Calendar, & Collaboration"

Account Management
Standard Desktop Support
Virtual Server Hosting
Service managers for CruzMail, CruzTime, CruzNet, and Standard Desktop Support are now identified on the service pages in the “Service Level” sections.
Service Level Agreements
The Standard Desktop Support SLA was added to the SLA page.
New Catalog Header & Footer
There is a standard page header and footer on all service catalog pages.
Services by Affiliation
New “List of Services” page consolidates four existing pages and provides a complete service listing.
Desktop Standards
“Computer Specifications” was added to the tabbed panels
Detailed computer specs have been grouped by platform.
Laptop security cable lock was added to the desktop hardware page.
Software versions have been updated on the OS and Core software pages.
Links to the Eudora retirement notice were added to the core software page.
Side Navigation Bar
The blue side navigation bar has been simplified and updated with quicklinks to the most popular service catalog pages.
