Macintosh OS 9 configuration
- Make sure your computer's AirPort card is active ("on").
Use either the control strip or Airport application in Applications
> Apple Extras > Airport.
- Make sure you are in an area served by CruzNet. See Coverage
Map.
- Select the Control Panel > TCP/IP under the Apple Menu. If
your current settings are for PPP or ethernet, you should create
a new configuration to use when you are on CruzNet.
- Select File >Configurations >Duplicate and name it something
like "CruzNet."
 
- Click "Make Active" and you'll return to the TCP/IP
control panel. Select Airport from the "Connect via"
drop-down window. Select "Using DHCP Server" from the
"Configure" drop-down window. It should look like this:
- Close the TCP/IP window and save changes when prompted (you
do not need to restart).
- If you open the Airport Application in the Airport application
in Applications>Apple Extras>Airport, it should look like
this:

- Launch your web browser. You will be automatically taken to
CruzNet for network authentication. Login with your UCSC I.D.
and password.
