PB Sci Admin Backups Redwood - PB Sci Administrative Staff File Server
Redwood provides networked file storage for Windows and Mac computers used by administrative staff in the Physical and Biological Sciences division.

Features and Functions File Storage
ITS maintains a file server to facilitate file sharing between administrative users in the PB Sci division. PB Sci admin staff recieve an account on the file server to share files with other admin staff.

Individuals or groups can have files and folders established with specific permissions for sharing. These permissions can be as specific as required to restrict access to certain users or groups of users.

The server is useful for:
  • Access to your files from multiple computers
  • Sharing files among a group of users

Backup
PB Sci staff can use redwood for backing up data.

How much storage is available?
There are no storage limits at this time for how much you can store on the server.

Access to redwood is supported from standard operating systems:

  • Mac OS X
    (available from on and off-campus networks)

  • Windows Vista / Windows XP
    (on-campus network access only)

Pricing Redwood access is available free of charge to all PB Sci admin staff clients.
