Limited lab services are available during the summer.
The library has computers available in both the S&E library outside of the cowell lab pilot. At McHenry Library, we provide public printing as well as internet access / ms office etc... The "commons" will be staffed by a student worker during open hours at McHenry.
CruzNet - Wireless Network CruzNet is the wireless network technology at UC Santa Cruz. CruzNet allows students, faculty, staff, and guests to connect to the internet across campus. Residential Wired Network Data network service is provided in each residential room and apartment living room via an orange network jack. A CAT-5 network cable or equivalent is necessary to connect to this service. Residents must provide their own network cables. Cables can be purchased at the Baytree Bookstore. Residents here for Summer Session will be prompted for a name and password to access the network, and they may be required to download additional security software. They can obtain this name and password from the ITS Support Center. All others can use a name and password provided to their group from Conference Services. Those with no account can use the CruzNet wireless network by clicking the "Guest" button. Summer Session students can contact the ITS Support Center for assistance with their computer and network issues. All others should contact Conference Services for assistance. Residential Telephone Service Basic telephone service, including free local calls, is provided in each residential room. A calling card must be used to place long distance calls. Residents must provide their own telephone instruments. Note: Although some residential rooms have more than one telephone jack, only one jack is active in each room. Cellular Telephone Service Micro cellular antennas are installed at numerous locations on campus, providing continuous campus coverage for T Mobile, Cingular, Sprint/Nextel, and Verizon cell phones. |
