Contract Technical Support Services Contract Technical Support Services (CTSS) provides computer coordinator-level support services to the campus on a contract basis. CTSS staff are ITS employees who are familiar with the campus computing environment and campus standard hardware and software. CTSS also provides support to unit computer coordinators as part of the three tier computing support model, typically by acting as an advocate for coordinator needs in the development of enterprise systems and services. CTSS is a fee-for-service unit that will be consolidated into the new ITS organization. CTSS staff perform high-level computer support services. These services may include planning and implementing systems purchases, installations and upgrades of existing systems, server administration and configuration, development of web interfaces to databases (skills vary between individuals on staff). ITS/Workstation Support provides overall technical management, and problem escalation point for CTSS staff. Service provided may be limited by the skills of the available CTSS staff.
