Information User Model Rates for 2009-2010 Fiscal Year
Beginning on July 1, 2008, the NTS (Network and Telephone Service) billing
will be changing as a result of the Information User (IU) funding model implementation.
The 08-09 IU funding model allows the campus to move away from the port/jack
and line-based charging metric and begin to distribute the cost of many shared
ITS services and infrastructure in a manner that is transparent and responsive
to the current campus IT needs.
In addition to these changes, charges for many of those services not
included in the Information User Model have changed. Please refer to the tables
below for current costs of all one-time and recurring costs of services provided
by Telecommunications. "IU" indicates that the cost for a service
is included in the Information User funding.
Telephone and Network charges are calculated at the close of each month and
transferred to FIS Banner.
Charge detail is available in several formats:
- NTS
web site
- Data Warehouse
- Excel Spreadsheets and hardcopy reports- to divisional contacts to be distributed
to various campus departments.

Local and domestic long distance calling are covered by the Information User
Model. Costs for calls that would have been billed are still provided to departments
in order to prevent fraud or abuse.
