Placing Calls
|
Pick up handset and dial.
|
Press available line key and use handset or loudspeaker. Use C
to disconnect calls.

Tone Sender
|

During a call where you are required to press numeric keys
to select menu choices or enter information, press 9 first to activate
the tone sender. This allows digital telephones to transmit tones for the
duration of that call.
NOTE: You will not hear the tones, even when tone sender is on. |

Receiving Calls
|
Pick up handset. |
Press flashing line key and use handset or loudspeaker. User C
to disconnect calls.

Call Hold
|
Press hold button (top left) or hookflash and replace handset. Call will
remain parked for 5 minutes.
|
(a) Press line key that the call is on if you are going to retrieve the
call from the same phone.
(b) Press any available line key if you are going to make another call
before retrieving.

Call Transfer
|
Press hold button or hookflash; listen for recall dial tone and dial
second party. Hang up after first ring or wait for answer, announce call,
and hang up. If second party is busy or does not answer press service
key twice to return to first party.

Press available line key; dial second party. Press Transfer
after first ring, or wait for answer, announce call, then press Transfer
.

Inquiry (Make a Second Call)
|
Press service key; listen for recall dial tone and dial second party.
Press 2
to refer back to first party or to alternate between parties. If second
party is busy or does not answer, press service key twice to return to
first party.

Press available line key; dial second party.
To refer back to first party, press line key holding first party. To alternate
between parties, press the line key holding the caller with whom you wish
to speak. |

With first party on line, press service key and
listen for recall dial tone. Dial Second party. To join all three parties
press 3
and listen for conference tone (a long, high-pitched tone).
If second party is busy or does not answer, press service key once to receive
recall dial tone and dial a different party.
Repeat these steps to connect up to eight parties; two of these may be off-campus. |

Press the line key holding the first party to reconnect to that party, or
press an available line key to dial another party.

|

Press "Accept 2nd Call" key; LED is now on. While
activated, a second call to your extension can ring through on the Access
2 line key if Access 1 is busy. To cancel, press "Accept 2nd Call"
key again; the LED will be off. |

Loudspeaker (Speakerphone):
Press [Speaker] to change (switch) from handset to speaker; handset may
then be replaced without disconnecting the call. To change from loudspeaker
to handset, pick up handset. Adjust speaker volume with volume control dial
(buttons). |
