acrobat Acrobat ETLA License Agreement

Acrobat Enterprise Term License Agreement (formally Term Site License) is a twelve month subscription license program. Participation in Acrobat ETLA provides department license holders the most current Acrobat Pro software for all of their UC owned computers.


Joining Acrobat ETLA

  • Enrollment is closed for 2013-14
  • FTE (Full Time Employee) based program
  • Install on all department computers
  • Term: April 1, 2013 to March 31, 2014  
  • Next join or renew in spring of 2014
  • Software installation is provided by TEM
  • LiveCycle Designer 10: ETLA subscribers are eligible for install. This product was not included in Acrobat XI.

Leaving Acrobat ETLA

If a unit does not renew their annual subscription, Acrobat will have to be uninstalled or repurchased as a perpetual license. Re-installing Acrobat at the version owned before joining TSL/ETLA is also an option for those who leave this subscription program. The latest version of Reader can be install as a replacement product.

Counting Full Time Employees (FTE)

  • All employees need to be counted even if they will not be installing the software.
  • Do not count Non-Information User Staff (groundskeepers, custodial, bus drivers, food service workers)
  • Round up your FTE count for total
  • Full time faculty = 1 FTE
  • Part-time faculty= 1/3 FTE
  • Full time administrative staff= 1 FTE
  • Part-time administrative staff= 1/2 FTE
  • Non-Information User= 0 FTE
  • Any employee who works less than 200 hours per year does not need to be counted in the FTE count. Employees who work 20 hours per week or less would be considered part time. 
  • Student workers in non-academic positions count as 1/2 FTE
  • Student workers in academic positions (TAs and GSRs) count as 1/3 FTE.
  • Administrative Staff working less then 50% count as 1/2 FTE.
  • Academic staff working less then 50% count as 1/3 FTE.
