Home Use

FileMaker Pro home/portable use rights: As long as you are the primary user of the computer at work, you may make a second copy of FileMaker software for your exclusive use on either a home or portable computer. Note that you may only make one such additional copy for either your home or portable computer, but not both. And only you, and no one else, may use the copy of the FileMaker software installed on such second computer. Please note that these rights do not apply to students if the software is part of a volume license program ordered at an education discount. Further, these rights do not apply to FileMaker Server software.

Dual Boot Computers

FileMaker will allow customers to use both a Mac and Windows version of FileMaker Pro on a single Intel-based Mac computer running Boot Camp even though the customer only has a single license to use FileMaker Pro. Although the FileMaker software license terms under Section 1(a) limit customers to installing and using a single copy on a computer, FileMaker is making a special exception to allow customers to take advantage of the unique capabilities of Intel-based Mac computers to run both Mac and Windows applications. All other terms and conditions in the FileMaker software license agreement will still apply.

This special permission only applies to FileMaker Pro and FileMaker Pro Advanced, but it does not apply to other FileMaker software products at this time.

FileMaker is not providing any warranties or support for running FileMaker Pro for Windows using Boot Camp, until the Boot Camp software is commercially released by Apple and tested by FileMaker.
