Microsoft Windows 8
Microsoft released Windows 8 on October 26, 2012.
ITS is still recommending Windows 7 for all new computers at this time.
ITS is currently working with campus partners to test Windows 8 with the standard software, services, and campus business systems. We know that some campus systems (such as PPS) are not currently compatible with Windows 8. As we learn more about using Windows 8 at UCSC, we will update this page.
