Software Information Page

The Standard Desktop Software lists software that is supported by ITS. There has been important information about several of these applications. They are listed below along with a brief description.

• Eudora (email application) - ITS ended support for Eudora in January 2009
• Firefox (web browser) - Mozilla has strongly suggested that users update from version 2 to version 3 for security reasons.
• Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard (Apple operating system)
• Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard (Apple future operating system) - to be released on August 28th, 2009
• Microsoft Office (includes Word, Excel and Powerpoint applications)
• Microsoft Windows Vista (operating system)
• Microsoft Windows 7 (future operating system) - to be released October 2009
