The project to implement the service will begin in mid-March and will be launched later in the year. Check back for more information as the project proceeds.
Faculty Instructional Technology Center staff are available to consult with instructors on the best practices for developing course materials and creating course websites with a focus on maximizing usage of eCommons, our collaborative learning environment. We provide limited web site design services for traditional websites.
For users who want a do-it-yourself web site, we provide server space to host your files. ITS provides the secure and reliable environment, you provide your web expertise and content. Self-managed Personal Web Pages are also available through this service.
The Personal URL service was created to provide each UCSC faculty member with a simple, unchanging, and university-branded web address. Enter the URL you'd like your personal URL to redirect to and it will start working immediately.
Research groups that would like to take advantage of the official campus design may choose to use the Campus WCMS.
All faculty, staff, and students have access to Google Sites. UCSC account and Google Group permissions make sharing and collaboration easy and therefore make Google Sites an great solution for intranets and project sites.
