UCSC Information Technology Survey
About the Survey
ITS seeks to better understand campus technology needs, how well ITS is meeting those needs, and where to focus efforts in making improvements. The annual survey provides ITS with valuable, direct feedback from campus constituents. This survey has been undertaken with input from the Academic Senate Committee on Information Technology (CIT), and Institutional Research, Assessment, and Policy Studies (IRAPS).

Participants
The survey is open to all campus constituents, including:
- Undergraduate students
- Graduate students
- Faculty
- Staff
Objectives
- Understand views of the campus IT experience
- Understand expectations for ITS support and services
- Understand satisfaction with ITS support and services
- Get insight into which areas to prioritize for further investigation and improvement
- See how our efforts are progressing over time
Timeline
The survey will be open April 17 through May 5, 2023.
Security
- The survey will be administered in Qualtrics which is approved by IT security to store survey data.
- Your personally identifiable details such as your email, name, or CruzID will not be collected, and survey results will be anonymized. ITS Privacy Statement for User Experience Research
- All raw survey data will be stored in Qualtrics. Only designated individuals in ITS will have access to raw survey data.
Analysis & Findings
ITS will share survey findings with campus leadership, the Committee on Information Technology (CIT), ITS, survey respondents, and other interested parties.
