ITS is pleased to announce that in response to feedback, we have purchased a campus site license for MATLAB. The campus license provides unlimited access to all MATLAB and Simulink products and toolboxes and training at no charge for all faculty, students, researchers, and staff.

MATLAB, the language of technical computing, is a programming environment for algorithm development, data analysis, visualization, and numeric computation. Simulink is a graphical environment for simulation and Model-Based Design of multi-domain dynamic and embedded systems. MathWorks produces nearly 100 additional products for specialized tasks such as data analysis and image processing.

How to Access MATLAB

For details on how to get individual MATLAB access, training and support resources visit the ITS MATLAB web page.

MATLAB software is available for individual download and installation via the UCSC Mathworks portal.

Existing users of MATLAB in Academic Divisions may need assistance to switch to the new campus license. Please contact your local IT support person if you currently access MATLAB via a Concurrent Network License server.

MATLAB and other software is available in campus computing labs; please visit: Labs - Mac Software, Labs - Windows Software, Labs - Linux Software
