Creating a Custom Template

  1. Open the 'Custom Section 4' file
  2. Replace the questions and answers in section 4 with those that the students were asked
  3. Go to the 'Insert Data Template' worksheet and click on the first 'x', next to 'instructor'
    • This will ensure that the cursor is in the right spot every time you open the template
  4. In the 'File' menu, choose 'Save As'
  5. In the format dropdown, select 'Excel Template.' You will be prompted to save to the 'My Templates' folder.
    • If you do so, you can create a new instance of the template by going to the Project Gallery, or by selecting "New from Template" in the 'File' menu
    • If you save the template anywhere else, you can create a new instance of it by double-clicking it.
  6. When you open your new template, you will be ready to input the course information, and when you save it, Excel will prompt you for a new name and leave the template unaltered.
