Sponsored Accounts
An account for people performing a service or doing work for UCSC but who are not faculty, staff, or students. Sponsored Accounts (also known as Sundry Accounts) are similar to the CruzID, but require an active staff or faculty to complete a request explaining why a Sponsored Account is requested, for whom, for how long, and why it is operationally necessary.

- Enables non-UCSC personnel to access university email, Wi-Fi, and other essential campus systems
- Supports contractors, visiting scholars, and affiliates who require a UCSC account for official business
- Requested, renewed, and managed by a sponsoring UCSC faculty or staff member

Cost
Sponsored Accounts are provided at no cost
Requirements
- Requests subject to approval by ITS
- The approval of a Sponsored Account request is dependent on a potential recipient’s proven affiliation with the University and an accurate description of how the use of a sponsored account is necessary to perform business and/or operational services for the University
- Eligibility is also subject to compliance with University policies
