Store, access, and collaborate on files securely with your team, department, or campus colleagues in a centralized location. Protect against data loss when collaborators separate from the university. Use My Drive for your own private documents and files.

  • Use your CruzID to log in to Google Workspace Services at UCSC
  • Assign roles and levels of access to folders and files (e.g., Viewer, Commenter, Contributor, Content Manager, Manager)
  • Store and collaborate on Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, and other files, including PDFs
  • Find files quickly with keyword search and filtering options
  • Integrates with DocuSign, Slack, and more
  • 20 GB of storage, but more can be requested at no additional cost.
    • Large team shared drive: 150 GB
    • Department, division, research lab shared drive: 300 GB
  • Paid tiers in increments of 1 TB are available for departments, divisions, research labs, and other funding entities.
  • Sponsored Student Drives with 5 GB of storage can be requested by faculty and staff 
  • Secure for up to Protection Level (P3) level data
