Report a Security Incident

Report a compromise of the privacy, integrity, or availability of institutional information or other IT resources. Keep UC Santa Cruz safe by reporting cyberattacks, computer theft, physical break-ins, policy violations, and privacy violations.

If you are reporting spam, phishing, or a suspicious email, please do not report a security incident. Instead, please report suspicious emails.

  • UCSC employees and contractors must promptly report violations
  • If you suspect or witness a security incident, report it as soon as possible to your supervisor and ITS. Be sure to indicate whether sensitive information may be at risk
  • In the case of physical break ins, contact the UC Santa Cruz Police or use the UC Santa Cruz Public Incident Report to report online classroom misconduct (including Zoombombing), and other policy violations

Security incident reporting is provided at no cost
