UCSC-Devices Wireless Service

A wireless service specifically designed for faculty and staff to connect their educational devices to the campus network when they can’t connect to eduroam. This service is available wherever eduroam is available.

  • Designed for teaching, learning, and research devices that can’t connect to the campus wireless network, eduroam, such as:
    • Research Devices (robotics, Raspberry Pi)
    • Smart/IoT Devices (sensors, smart lighting)
    • Streaming Devices (Roku, wireless speakers)
  • Enroll using your device in the UCSC-Devices portal using a computer connected to any campus secure network
  • Enroll multiple devices at once using bulk import
  • Once registered, the portal will provide you with a unique password to the UCSC-Devices wireless network
  • Use eduroam to connect personal computers, phones, or tablets

UCSC-Devices Wireless Services is provided at no cost

Enrollment requires your device’s MAC address, a unique, 12-digit address used to identify your device to the network
