IT Project: Identity and Access Management Requirements Gathering and Analysis

This project will provide the groundwork for a modernized, automated Identity Access Management (IAM) system. The project team will document and analyze identity and access requirements across the entire user lifecycle at UCSC and define clear Role Based Access Control/Attribute Based Access Control documentation attributes, join‑move‑leave processes, and compliance needs.

  • Improved onboarding and offboarding
  • Clear access requirements to create, join, move, and leave groups and identify gaps for future automation
  • Documented high-level access requirements for the roles and attributes at our campus
  • Provide recommendations for next steps and implementation plan to automate access
