IT Project: Just-in-Time Adobe Creative Cloud Provisioning
This project restructured Adobe Creative Cloud licenses based on student, faculty, and staff usage to reduce our costs.
Impacts
- Licenses will be provisioned only to those affiliates who seek them out with intent to use the product(s), thus right-sizing licenses to user needs
- Restricting use of the campus license to @ucsc.edu IDs
- Gaining visibility into the actual headcount of users accessing this product
- Ability to accurately adjusting the number of licenses purchased and reducing cost
Approach
- Prepare for support needs through coordination with the Service Desk, communications,
- Develop technical processes to right-size licensing
- Monitor data and determine ongoing resources needed
