Physical Security Consultations

Talk to our team about any concerns related to physical security. A consultation is the first step in designing and implementing a physical security system for your location on campus.

  • Consultations include an assessment of security risk and recommendations for the appropriate security systems, including electronic access control systems
  • Requests for consultation will be responded to within one week. Assessments will be completed within three months
  • Electronic access control systems allow for 24/7 monitoring via our campus dispatch operations center for locations with significant security risk and on all building perimeters. We also offer systems for facilities that require a lower level of security
  • Our team:
    • Partners with the campus police department and ITS staff dedicated to the administration of physical security systems
    • Conducts security assessments for all areas of the main and remote campuses and makes recommendations to meet campus standards
    • Provides recommendations for the appropriate security posture for individual units and the campus as a whole
    • Coordinates the design, installation, operation, ongoing maintenance, and repair of all physical security systems on the campus
    • Install, manage, and maintain the public safety camera systems throughout the main campus and remote campus locations
  • Staff is available during regular business hours to offer support. Resources for after-hours vendor support will be provided for implemented systems
  • Learn more about Facilities Management in the ITS Knowledge Base

Consultations are available at no cost. However, there may be costs associated with implementing security systems and ongoing maintenance.

All access control systems must integrate with existing campus security infrastructure
