Purchasing a New Windows Computer

CruzBuy Punchout-Dell

UC has negotiated pricing with Dell to get the lowest total cost available. Prices do not include shipping or CA environmental fees.

You can order Dell Desktop & Laptop computers using the CruzBuy punchout for Dell.  The punchout lists UC Standard Configurations with special pricing: four desktops and three laptops. These are "Super Saver" configurations that allow limited configuration options.

When ordering a new computer if you are licensed for Windows 7 under the MCCA program, order the computer with Windows 7 Home (this is the default) to save the cost of the Windows 7 Pro license. ITS will install Windows 7 Pro on the new computer.

Windows 8: ITS recommends the Windows 7 operating system since it's fully supported and tested with campus systems.

Purchasing a New Mac Computer

CruzBuy Punchout-Apple

UCSC has educational pricing available with Apple from the Apple Store for Education. Prices do not include shipping or CA environmental fees.

You can order Mac desktop & laptop computers using the CruzBuy punchout for Apple.  The Apple punchout opens in a separate window, so you will need to enable pop-up windows in your web browser.

Please note that all new Mac computers must run OS X Mavericks (10.9).
