JMP software info

JMP software is provided free to all UC Santa Cruz students.

Faculty may request annual license price and software access by contacting Contacting ITS.

By Authenticating with my UCSC ID and downloading and installing JMP software I acknowledge and agree to the following:

The Software (JMP) is the copyrighted property of the vendor (SAS). Use of the Software is governed by the Master License Agreement in place with the Regents of the University of California; I will not modify the Software or access the source code by reverse engineering, decompiling or any other means; I will not share, copy or permit copying or access to the Software by any third party; use of the Software for personal or commercial gain is not permitted; I will return, uninstall or destroy the Software if my employment or student relationship to the University ceases.

JMP Software may be used by Faculty, Researchers and Students only in conjunction with classroom instruction and coursework directly related to post-secondary degree requirements, including the formulation of theses and dissertations, and any noncommercial research activities.

JMP is for Academic Teaching & Research use only. No Administrative use is allowed under our contract.

JMP System Requirements

JMP needs to be renewed annually. Students download the latest version after June 14th.

If your JMP 15 or 16 Pro has expired, please download and install JMP 17 Pro 

Windows

Download for students only.  Faculty can request annual license price and software access by contacting ITS.

  1. Download JMP here: JMP Pro 17 for Windows
  2. Download the additional required update here: JMP_1220_AL_Updater.exe

To Install

  1. Decompress 17_JMP_Pro_Windows64Bit.23-24.zip (right click and choose Extract All), 
  2. Open the extracted 17_JMP_Pro_Windows64Bit.23-24 folder, open JMP folder, and continue to open subsequent folders:\JMP\JMP_Pro\17_0\Windows\
  3. Then click on jmppro__1700__win.exe (type: Application) to install (you may need to right-click and choose Run As Administrator)

Look for JMP in All Programs / JMP 17 folder.

Authenticate with your CruzID & Gold Password

If you have JMP installed but need to reactivate it for another year, download the new installer, unzip and look for the sid_files folder. Copy the file there to your Documents folder. Launch JMP and locate the file to reactivate your JMP software. No registration or admin info is required to complete the activation.

macOS

  1. Download JMP here: JMP Pro 17.0 for Mac OSX
  2. Download the additional required update here: JMP_1220_AL_Updater.dmg

To Install:  

  1. Decompress 17_JMP_Pro_MacOSX64.23-24.zip by double clicking on the file
  2. Open the 17_JMP_Pro_MacOSX64.23-24 folder, and continue to open subsequent folders,                        JMP\JMP_Pro\17_0\Macintosh\
  3. Double click jmppro__1700__mac.dmg to mount a virtual disk: JMP-17-installer
  4. Open the JMP Pro 17.pkg installer to install
  5. After JMP is installed, you can right click the virtual disk and choose "Eject JMP-17-installer"
Look for JMP Pro 17.0 in your Applications folder.

Authenticate with your CruzID & Gold Password

If you have JMP installed but need to reactivate it for another year, download the new installer, unzip and look for the sid_files folder. Copy the file there to your Documents folder. Launch JMP and go to Help/Renew and locate the file to reactivate your JMP software. No registration or admin info is required to complete the activation.
