Scanner Help for PC/Windows

Quick & Easy Scanning

  1. Turn on the scanner if it is off by toggling the switch on the right side of the scanner.
  2. On your computer's desktop, click on the "Scanning Help and Applications" folder.
  3. Click on "Epson Scan." When the Epson Scan window appears, click on "Scan."
  4. Your image will scan, and a new folder will appear with your image in .jpg format in your user directory inside the My Pictures folder.
  5. Done! You can now edit the image in whichever program you'd like to use.

Scanning graphics with Adobe Photoshop

  1. Turn on the scanner if it is off by toggling the switch on the right side of the scanner. 
  2. Open the Scanning Help and Applications folder on the Desktop.
  3. Start Photoshop. Select File > Import > WIA Support. This will start windows Scan. Press "Start" at the first dialog box, then press "OK" to select the Epson scanner at the second dialog box.
  4. For most cases, click the Scan button and the program will perform a preview scan and automatically determine the document type..
  5. Windows Scan will perform a full resolution scan and import the image into Photoshop.

Creating a PDF document from scanned graphics

  1. Turn on the scanner if it is off by toggling the switch on the right side of the scanner.
  2. Open Adobe Acrobat X by clicking on the software folder on the desktop > Graphics-Publishing > Adobe Acrobat X Pro.
  3. From the top left menu, select File > Create > PDF from Scanner > Autodetect Color Mode.
  4. Select Scan is complete, Scan more pages, or Scan other side of page.
  5. Save your PDF to your user directory.
