Audio-Visual Checkout

Audio-visual equipment is available for checkout by current UCSC students, faculty, and staff from the ITS Services checkout facility.

How to reserve equipment

Reserve equipment by calling (831) 459-2117.

To arrange media equipment usage for a SOAR Organization Event you must contact Learning Technologies two weeks in advance of your event.

Information about reserving equipment

UCSC ID (with a current quarter sticker for students) is required to check out equipment.

There is no charge for equipment used in support of current UCSC academic classes.

Students must be authorized by their instructor prior to equipment checkout for class use. Faculty can submit a class list of students authorized to use equipment to the ITS Services Front Desk Coordinator.

  • Search on the keyword "checkout"
  • Select "Equipment Checkout > Classroom Media Equipment & Support". 
  • Please include the course number and instructor’s name.
  • Individual students can Download Media Equipment Faculty Authorization Form (PDF), have their instructor sign it and submit it to Learning Technologies.

There is a cost-recovery fee for all other equipment use. See the Media Equipment rate sheet for details. This includes use for special events, non-academic classes (any class that does not have UCSC course number), and any other projects. Payment may be made by campus recharge, personal check, or cash (exact change only).
