IdM Software
Shibboleth services are accessed by installing, configuring and integrating the Shibboleth Service Provider software. See the Shibboleth website for downloadable clients. Application developers are strongly encouraged to use the 2.x release of Shibboleth (not 1.x).
LDAP services are accessed using any standard LDAP client. In most cases, the exact client you will use is dependent on your application. Most Unix distributions (as well as MacOS) include LDAP command line clients. LDAP query libraries are available in most common programming languages (Java, PERL, etc.)
All other IdM services are end-user facing and are accessed using a standard web browser.
