Congratuations goes to ITS staff member, Mark Beach, for receiving the Distinguished Service Commendation award signed by all of the Chiefs in the UC system for outstanding service to the UC Santa Cruz Police Department. Mark has consistently provided the highest level of customer service and has been a key team member on time sensitive projects impacting campus safety and security. 
Most recently, Mark assisted the UCSC Police Department on a project to install cameras at the main and west entrance gates in the days leading up to a recent labor action. Mark was instrumental in designing the system, securing the necessary equipment and deploying the cameras via wireless network connections.
He received the award on Monday, July 8, 2019 from UCSC Police Chief Oweis and ITS staff Security Systems Manager, Jason Moore. Way to go Mark!
