ITS has received several reports of a potential fraudulent email message offering retirement benefit consultations. This is a third party marketing company that has not been vetted by UCNet or UCSC as a viable option for employees to use in retirement planning.
UCSC employees are always welcome to have ca financial consultant of their own choosing, but we wanted to make sure anyone receiving this email knew this was not a university-sponsored company.
One version of this scam looks like this:
If you receive this email, please do not respond or click on any links within; just delete the message. If you receive a message that you suspect to be a phishing message, please forward the message to phishing@ucsc.edu.
