The Campus Web Content Management System (WCMS) will officially retire at the end of summer in 2025. This change means that all websites currently using the WCMS platform will need to transition to a new web tool, with most moving to the new UCSC WordPress service.
WCMS served as the primary web platform for many years, but it no longer meets the evolving needs of our campus. As a result, we selected WordPress as our preferred web content management platform moving forward. UCSC WordPress, which has been operational since August 2023, has already seen more than 50 successful website launches, with many more on the way.
The new WordPress service is designed to be more user-friendly, allowing users to easily create, design, manage, and maintain a sustainable and effective web presence.
