Electronic Official Communications Statement
The following was approved at the November 25, 2003 meeting of the Provost's Advisory Council and updated in October 2018.
The Provost's Advisory Council recognizes and supports the use of electronic communication as the preferred medium for official communication with members of the UC Santa Cruz community.
As part of this, and in recognition of the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of electronic communication in general and email in particular, the campus will electronically distribute official communications with active status students, staff, and faculty using their UCSC email address, (cruzid@ucsc.edu).
The Provost's Advisory Council recognizes and supports the continuous enhancement of electronic communications systems towards meeting campus communications goals.
