Two Way Radio Rental

Individual campus units and student groups may rent two way radios from ITS for campus-related activities. Currently we offer handheld radios that utilize the campus 800MHz trunked radio system to provide coverage on campus and the surrounding area. Each radio is capable of communicating with the other rental radios on a pre-assigned rental talk group, and with other campus units on three available event talk groups. All other campus radios have these three event talk groups, so smooth and reliable communications can be maintained with other units on campus.

Current Rental Rate

This rate includes:

• 1 radio
• 1 rechargeable battery
• 1 battery charger
• Operator training (required for first time users).
