All UCSC faculty, staff and students have free, unlimited access through August 14, 2021 to the LinkedIn Learning video library of over 10,000 engaging, top-quality, on-demand courses taught by recognized industry expert. 

Access LinkedIn Learning

To get started with LinkedIn Learning, you will need to activate your account:

  1. Sign in HERE with your UCSC CruzID and Gold password.
  2. ITS recommends NOT to link your personal LinkedIn account with the UCSC LinkedIn Learning system due to privacy concerns.

You may watch an entire course, or individual videos – some are as short as four or five minutes. You will be able to bookmark courses that suit your interests, keep track of the courses you have taken, and when you complete a course, you'll receive a certificate.

  • Access to LinkedIn Learning’s video library containing over 10,000 engaging, top-quality, on-demand courses taught by recognized industry experts that help anyone learn business, software, technology, and creative skills to achieve personal and professional goals.
  • Instructors can use LinkedIn Learning content to supplement their courses and provide additional instruction in areas that would normally occur in a lab or studio setting. This resource provides opportunities for a "hands-on" teaching approach, even in a remote environment.
  • In-depth and bite-sized courses available anytime, on any device, online or offline.
  • Bookmark courses that suit your interests, keep track of the courses you have taken, and receive a certificate when a course is completed.
  • Managers and employees can create professional development plans.

Instructors

Instructors can also use LinkedIn Learning content to supplement their courses and provide additional instruction in some areas that would normally occur in a lab or studio setting. This resource can provide more opportunities for a "hands-on" teaching approach, even in a remote environment. Additionally, there are several suggested LinkedIn Learning courses that can be utilized for courses which need to now provide students with additional instruction for digital documentation or submission of assignments, projects and other work.

How do I add LinkedIn Learning to my Canvas course?

While there is currently no direct integration of LinkedIn Learning with UCSC Canvas, links to courses in LinkedIn Learning can be added to pages, modules, or navigation in a Canvas course using the standard capabilities in Canvas to add hyperlinks. Contact canvas.help@ucsc.edu for assistance in adding links to Canvas.
