While most of us are still trying to figure out how to use a webcam, cybercriminals are busy taking advantage of COVID-19. It’s important that you remain mindful and take necessary precautions.

Stay Safe Online

ITS is here to help you stay cybersecure by offering you steps you can take to secure your remote working environment. Here are a few tips. More details on how to stay cybersecure during COVID-19

  • Devices must be patched, password protected, running supported operating systems and anti-malware, and encrypted.
  • Home networks should use a strong password and current encryption protocols.
  • Unsecured networks or public wifi should be avoided.
  • Scams and phishing emails are targeting people's growing fears of the coronavirus.
  • Lock your screen, lock your doors, lock up your laptop.
  • Avoid using a shared home computer, and don't let others use your work computer.
