Globus

Access to Globus

Globus is a transfer service that provides secure, high-performance file transfer and synchronization between endpoints. This allows you to securely share your data with other Globus users.

Globus transfers are third-party transfers, meaning authentication and authorization are negotiated by a third party (Globus), but data only travels securely between the remote endpoints.

Globus features a simple web-based user interface that is easy to understand, allowing for "fire-and-forget-it" transfers that anyone can set up.

Free consulting is available to help with getting started with Globus, as well as general migration issues for large datasets, remote-transfer techniques, setting up your research system as a Globus node, or with more complex data transfers between other institutions.
