Analog Telephones
Analog telephones are standard telephones with touchtone keypadAnalog Desk Telephone

Analog Wall Telephone
Standard wall mounted telephone generally used in hallways or other public areas.
Digital Telephones
Two digital telephone models are currently available to campus clients. The only difference between the two models is the number of programmable buttons each one has. These buttons allow additional lines, features, and functions to be programmed on the instrument.NOTE: Digital telephones provided by UCSC Telecommunications are available in black only.

VoIP Telephones
Four types of Voice-over-IP (VoIP) telephone models are currently available to campus clients. These phones depend on the campus computer network to communicate with UCSC's telecommunications infrastructure. They are computer network nodes in their own right, support much clearer voice quality, and also support advanced features that are not available on digital or analog phones.
NOTE: The cordless VoIP system does not use WiFi, and is only available in specific locations without a request to install additional infrastucture.
