On July 30, 2018, the campus wireless service, CruzNet, was upgraded and renamed to UCSC-Guest. This means guests who are visiting the campus can request temporary access to the Internet, including off-campus locations where CruzNet is available.
Guests will be given one week of free Internet access and can re-up if they need to extend that time.
Since UCSC-Guest remains an open-access unencrypted wireless network, it should not be used for university work involving student records or other sensitive or confidential information. If you need secure WiFi connection, please make sure to always use eduroam or ResWiFi.
