How to Get Started Using Wēpa


How does it work?

All UCSC students have a Wēpa account already created. You can log in with your CruzID credentials at www.wepanow.com or any Wēpa printing kiosk on campus. Follow the steps below for more details.

Access your account from the web

  1. Go to www.wepanow.com and log in 
  2. Select UCSC as your school
  3. Log in with your CruzID credentials (using @ucsc.edu as the username)
  4. Click on the link to take you to the Members Area
  5. Under Cloud Links, select the accounts you would like to add to your Wēpa account for easy access to files from a Wēpa kiosk
  6. Start Uploading your Documents under "Document Upload"
  7. If you have a personal computer, download the "Print Drivers" from the menu and the Wēpa print drivers will be added to your list of printers

Access your account from a kiosk

  1. Find a kiosk on campus
  2. Swipe your UCSC ID or log in with your CruzID credentials (using @ucsc.edu as the username)
  3. Select a file from your cloud account, Canvas (coming soon!) or USB device
  4. Set your print options and click OK
  5. Upload more files or select Done if you are finished uploading
  6. Files you have selected to print will have a check mark next to them
  7. When ready, select Print 
  8. Your account will be charged only for the pages that print out
  9. Log out when finished
  10. Documents last up to 6 days in the queue

Access your account from the Wēpa Mobile app

  1. Download the Wēpa app
  2. Type in "UCSC" for your School
  3. At the login page, log in with your CruzID credentials (using @ucsc.edu as the username)
  4. Select Launch the App from your device
  5. Once in the app, you can upload files 
  6. Walk up to a Wēpa kiosk near you and release your job (see "Access your account from a kiosk" above)

Deposit Funds (Non-UCSC affiliates)

  1. On the web, log in at www.wepanow.com and select "Deposit Funds".
  2. From the mobile app, select "Deposit Funds".

Print Your Documents

  1. From the Kiosk, swipe your UCSC ID or log in with your CruzID credentials, select your file from your cloud account, Canvas (coming soon!) or USB device
  2. Select your print options
  3. Select your method of payment (UCSC students may bill their student account)
  4. Select Print
  5. Don't forget to log out!

How to tag a card to your Wēpa account:

  1. Walk up to a Wēpa kiosk and swipe your UCSC ID or log in with your CruzID credentials
  2. Select "Tag card" from the menu
  3. Swipe any card with a magnetic stripe. 
    • Tagging a card such as a driver's license will link your account to your Wēpa account. Tagging a card will not allow you to bill your student account. Only swiping your UCSC ID card will allow you access to this option.
