Email Forwarding

Email Forwarding provides former students a way to continue using their @ucsc.edu email address throughout their lifetime. If a former student decides to opt-in to use this free service, all messages sent to their @ucsc.edu email address will be redirected to an email address of their choice. This service is for email forwarding only. It is NOT a full email account.

Email Forwarding is available to all former UCSC students who graduated in 2004 or later, and do not have a current campus affiliation. For example, former students who are now employed at UC Santa Cruz can not opt-in to Email Forwarding since they already have a UCSC email account. 

Privacy Statement: The personal information you provide is maintained confidentially by Information Technology Services and used solely for university business. Information is not disclosed without your consent except as required by law. Participation in this service is voluntary. You may review or remove your email forwarding address on file by authenticating to CruzID Manager at https://cruzid.ucsc.edu. If you have questions, email help@ucsc.edu or call (831) 459-4357.

Opt-in, Opt-out, or Change Email Forwarding

To opt-in, opt-out, or change your Email Forwarding email address, follow these instructions.

  • Go to the CruzID Manager website
  • Login with your CruzID and Gold password. If you don't know your Gold password, contact the ITS Support Center.
  • On the main menu, click Email Forwarding. You will only see this option if you are eligible for this service. 
  • Check the opt-in checkbox to opt-in to Email Forwarding, uncheck it to opt-out, and enter your forwarding email address in the fields provided.
