Email Forwarding

Email Forwarding provides former students a way to continue using their @ucsc.edu email address throughout their lifetime. If a former student decides to opt-in to use this free service, all messages sent to their @ucsc.edu email address will be redirected to an email address of their choice. 

Email Forwarding is available to all former students who do not have a current campus affiliation. For example, former students who are now employed at UC Santa Cruz can not opt-in to Email Forwarding. This service is for email forwarding only, no other UCSC Google Apps products. It goes into effect after the student's UCSC Google Apps account is closed (typically 12 months after degree-seeking students leave campus, or the first day of the next term for non-degree seeking students) and only if they opt-in to use the service.

Privacy Statement: The personal information you provide is maintained confidentially by Information Technology Services and used solely for university business. Information is not disclosed without your consent except as required by law. Participation in this service is voluntary. Opt-in, Opt-out, or Change Email Forwarding

To opt-in, opt-out, or change your Email Forwarding email address, follow these instructions.

  • Go to the CruzID Manager website
  • Login with your CruzID and Gold password
  • On the main menu, click Email Forwarding. You will only see this option if you are eligible for this service. 
  • Check the opt-in checkbox to opt-in to Email Forwarding, uncheck it to opt-out, and enter your forwarding email address in the fields provided.
