Software Installation
Remote Software Installation
ITS can install software remotely on managed computers without any action required on the part of a computer user, often in response to a software installation request in Slughub.
Software Installation Self-Service Offers
ITS makes specific software available for Self-Service installation using the BigFix and Jamf Pro Self Service apps.
Users do not need to have administrative rights on a computer to install software using Self Service options.
Apps may be targeted to specific computers, so the software offered on a computer will vary. Some apps, such as Project, Visio, and FileMaker Pro are only offered to computers that have been specifically licensed for that software.
