MATLAB
UC Santa Cruz has a Campus-Wide License for Mathworks MATLAB, Simulink, and add-on products. Faculty, researchers, students, and staff may use these products for teaching, research, and learning. The license allows individuals to install the products on university-owned equipment, as well as personally owned computers.
About MATLAB and Simulink
MATLAB, the language of technical computing, is a programming environment for algorithm development, data analysis, visualization, and numeric computation. Simulink is a graphical environment for simulation and Model-Based Design of multidomain dynamic and embedded systems. MathWorks produces nearly 100 additional products for specialized tasks such as data analysis and image processing.

Users of Concurrent Licenses in Academic Divisions
Existing users of MATLAB in Academic Divisions may need assistance to switch to the new campus license.
Please contact your local IT staff if you currently access MATLAB via a License Server (Concurrent Network Licensed).
Licensed served installs are applicable to those using shared University owned lab computers.
These users may continue using their existing network license and will require to do so in order to operate older releases of Matlab.
Access MATLAB Online
A lightweight web-based version of MATLAB that doesn't require downloads or installation is available at MATLAB Online.
